The Poynting XPOL antenna and the bracket that comes with it are rated to withstand winds up to 100 MPH (160 KPH). We recommend using the manufacturer’s bracket. If you expect winds stronger than that, please contact us for assistance.
Since the bracket is behind the antenna, opposite the face that points at the cell tower, it will not influence or distort the cellular signal the antenna sends or receives.
You should not need an in-line amplifier between the antenna and your router as long as you use reasonable coax cable types and lengths: Max 16.4′ (5 m) of 195-type coax or 50′ (15.25 m) of 400-type coax.
