Yes, it’s possible to connect a 4×4 MIMO antenna like the Poynting XPOL-24 to a 2×2 router like the TP-Link 5G Deco x80 or the Zyxel NR5307. You would connect either pair of cables (A & B or C & D) to the router.
The downside to doing this is you would be spending more money for a 4×4 MIMO antenna when all you need is a 2×2 MIMO antenna. If all you need is 2×2, then the Poynting XPOL-2-5G would be more economical and provide you with the same performance.
If you plan to upgrade to a 4×4 MIMO router at some point, then a 4×4 MIMO antenna like the XPOL-24 would allow you to take advantage of using all four ports once you do upgrade.
