The first step is to check if the light on the front of the booster is solid green. If the light is not solid green, then please see pages 8–9 of the manufacturer’s installation guide for more information and troubleshooting suggestions.
If the light is solid green and you’re not seeing a difference in cellular reception on your phone, there are two possibilities:

If the light is solid green and you’re not seeing a difference in cellular reception on your phone, there are two possibilities:
- Your phone is not close enough to the inside antenna. The weBoost Drive Reach is a mobile booster with limited gain (per FCC regulations); when the available signal outside is very weak, the inside antenna may only project an area of coverage of a foot or so. Place your phone as close as possible to the inside antenna for best signal reception.
- There is no outside signal. Since a cell signal booster is an amplifier, it has to have some outside signal to amplify. If you’re in an area where there is no cellular coverage at all, then the booster will not be able to function.
