The CEL-FI GO G32 is the most powerful mobile booster, and it has the longest broadcast range from the inside antenna of any system currently available.
The outside whip antenna needs to be separated from the inside antenna so their signal patterns don’t overlap and cause oscillation (feedback) at the booster. That separation is usually achieved by having a metal vehicle roof between the two antennas (like this example of a setup in a van). You can also get enough separation by mounting the whip antenna up high above the inside antenna; around 15 to 20 feet of vertical distance is usually sufficient.
If you have a pop-up tent on top of your vehicle, then you’re probably above the roof and parallel to the whip antenna. That setup may or may not work, depending on what’s between you and the inside antenna and how the antennas are positioned relative to each other.
Feel free to give us a call and talk to one of our technical support representatives; they may be able to help you figure out if your setup will work. (435) 634-6800.
