Placement of the inside antenna depends on your boat’s construction materials. Cellular signals pass through fiberglass with little attenuation (signal loss); this requires more separation between the exterior and interior antennas than steel bulkheads.
We recommend as much vertical separation as possible between the two antennas—15 to 20 feet is usually sufficient.
If there is oscillation, the Cel-Fi GO G32 booster will reduce its gain as much as possible to mitigate the problem. You can also switch the booster from stationary mode to mobile mode (using the Cel-Fi WAVE smartphone app), which will further reduce the gain and moderate any oscillation issues.
