Because of all these variables, the only sure way to determine maximum cable length is to try out different types and lengths of cables.
All other things being equal, we generally don’t recommend using runs of RG6 coax longer than 30 feet. If you have strong outside signal, high-gain antennas, or a small indoor area to cover, you may be able to get away with as much as 45 feet.
If you need a long run of cable (say, 50 to 75 feet), RG11 coax is a low-loss alternative to RG6. You can usually run RG11 cables that are twice as long as RG6 with about the same loss.
